Listed below are local resources that serve individuals from underserved communities.

Alliance of People with Disabilities

The Alliance provides information and referral, independent living skills training, advocacy, peer support, and transitional services to any person in the community who has a disability.

Asian Counseling and Referral Service

ACRS promotes social justice and the well-being and empowerment of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and other underserved communities – including immigrants, refugees, and American-born – by developing, providing and advocating for innovative, effective and efficient community-based multilingual and multicultural services.

Consejo Counseling and Referral Services

Consejo provides a continuum of behavioral health, substance abuse and domestic violence services including prevention, treatment and housing to the Latino community.

El Centro de la Raza

El Centro de la Raza is an organization grounded in the Latino community. They provide bilingual and multicultural services to children and youth, provide emergency services to address hunger, healthcare and homelessness, provide education programs, and more.

Entre Hermanos

Entre Hermanos promotes the health and well-being of the Latino Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and questioning community in a culturally appropriate environment through disease prevention, education, support services, advocacy and community building.

Family of Colors Seattle

FOCS specializes in community dialogues, workshops, and consulting on race, family engagement, and anti-bias education for families of color.

Hearing, Speech & Deafness Center

Hearing, Speech & Deaf Center (HSDC) is a nonprofit for clients who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have speech-language differences. Their mission is to foster inclusive and accessible communities through communication, advocacy, and education.

Horn of Africa Services

Horn of Africa Services serves the East African immigrant and refugee community in Seattle. Their services include social services, educational assistance, youth programs, and economic empowerment

Ingersoll Gender Center

Ingersoll is an organization by and for transgender and gender nonconforming communities. It is a building community, connecting folks to resources and advocating for the transgender and gender nonconforming communities.

International Community Health Service

ICHS is the largest Asian and Pacific Islander community health center in Washington State. They provide networking and learning opportunities for patients, volunteers and donors.

Northwest Immigrant Rights Project

NWIRP promotes justice for low-income immigrants by pursuing and defending their legal status.

Refugee and Immigrant Children’s Program

RICP is a Seattle-based program that helps to place unaccompanied refugee children arriving in the area with foster families and to support their transition to their new country.

Seattle Counseling Service

SCS is a community mental health agency that serves the LGBTQ community through counseling substance use disorder services, support groups, outreach, harm reduction programs, HIV prevention programs, and immigrant, refugee, and undocumented outreach.

Seattle Indian Center

SIC provides short-term services to those in crisis, employment assistance, escape from sex trafficking, and a sense of community.

Seattle Indian Health Board

SIHB is a community health clinic that provides health and human services to patients and specializes in the care of Native people.

Seattle Sex Positive Community Center

The Seattle Sex Positive Community Center organizes educational, support and social activities in a safe space for people interested in a modern sex-positive culture.
