Apps for Mental Health
Mental health apps can be another effective complement to therapy. These apps are not designed with the intention of replacement treatment, but when used as a supplement, it can enhance the work that is already being done in therapy.
1. Liberate Meditation – A free meditation app dedicated to empowering Black, Indigenous, and People of Color communities. Developed by people of color.
2. Headspace – A mindfulness and meditation themed app designed to reduce stress and anxiety, and to improve attention and awareness.
3. Breathe2Relax – A free app that teaches breathing techniques to manage stress.
4. Happify – A free app that helps improve your mood with games, activities, gratitude prompts and more.
5. Calm – A free app that provides guided meditation, sleep stories, breathing exercises, and relaxing music to help decrease anxiety and stress.
